Privacy Policy

Effective date: 13 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Wali’s Talk (walistalk.com) collects when you visit the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. Wali’s Talk is run by Wali, based in Bangladesh. If you have any questions, email hellowaliar@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. If you leave a comment, WordPress stores the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, your IP address and your browser’s user agent, to help detect spam.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting server records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. This is used to keep the site secure and working.

Cookies. Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We use cookies to remember basic preferences (such as light or dark mode), and third parties such as advertising and analytics providers may set their own cookies, as described below.

Advertising

Wali’s Talk uses, or may use, Google AdSense to show ads. In connection with this:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
  • To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you may be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time.

Analytics

We may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which articles are most read. These tools use cookies and collect information such as pages visited and approximate location, in a form that does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

How we use information

We use the information above to run and secure the website, reply to your messages, moderate comments, understand which content is useful, and show advertising that helps keep the site free. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We only share information with service providers that help run the site, such as our hosting provider, Google (for advertising and analytics) and spam protection services, or when required by law.

How long we keep information

Comments and their details are kept as long as the comment is published. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your message. Server logs and analytics data are kept for limited periods set by those providers.
